1.1 Shampoo should not be applied to the scalp, but to the hair. Basically, shampoo is applied in the middle of the hair length, distributed to the ends, the foam from shampoo we apply to the hair roots.
1.2. It's important to know if shampooing once is enough for your hair type. It might be worth washing your hair a second time to make sure the hair scales are open. A second wash is usually needed for coarser, more natural, undamaged hair.
1.3. The length of soak time is based on how damaged your hair is. If hair is natural, soak time may be up to 10 minutes. If the hair is more damaged, 2-5 minutes is sufficient.
2.2. Depending on which hair you apply the product (% of moisture), the concentration of the product and the intensity of the effect on the hair will vary.
It is recommended to apply the products on 50-70% dried hair. It is important to remember that the drier the hair, the more difficult the composition will be to distribute on the strands.2.3 The thinner the strand you're applying the product to, the more likely you are to thoroughly distribute the product to each strand.
2.4 A distance from the roots is a must as the products are designed for the hair, not the scalp. This can cause redness on the skin and allergies if you have a predisposition to them.
2.5 Excess product can cause eye discomfort during treatment performance. Lack of product may cause the procedure to fail. The amount of product should be reasonable.
2.6 Apply the product evenly along the length of the hair (exept the distance from roots).
2.7 Excessive amounts of formula can make hair feel saturated with formula and, as a result, the hair will tend to stick together and look greasier than it normally does. Excess product also lengthens the drying time of the treatment in the product and in the evaporation of the product. If your hair is very porous or has very dry ends, you will know it when you finish the application of the product, you will feel that the hair absorbs everything quickly and an additional product is needed.
3.2 Rinsing out part of the Botox treatment before applying the curling iron prevents greasy, heavy hair. Generally a 50% rinse is necessary for very porous hair, if hair is not porous you can rinse it out by 70%.
3.3 Before ironing, hair should always be dried 100% with a hair dryer. As under the influence of hot temperatures the hair may be ruined.3.4 Hair drying with very hot air already starts the sealing of the composition, so it is recommended to use warm or moderately hot air to dry the hair with the product on it.
4.3 The right temperature is one of the most important parts of the process.
The more damaged the hair is, the lower is the temperature of the roller, somewhere between 180-230 degreesThe more intense the curl and the more you want to straighten it, the higher the temperature, ranging from 180-230 degrees, given the damage to the hair.
4.4 The thicker the strands you use when ironing, the more likely it is that not every hair will be properly heat-treated. If thinner strands are used, there is a chance of overheating the strand. The recommended strand thickness for Botox and Keratin treatments is 3-5 mm.4.5 Insufficient pressure on the ironing plates and, as a result, their loose fit to the hair will not allow each hair to be treated properly.
4.6 The number of pulls should be optimal.4.7 The first 2-3 pulls are usually done at a slower speed than subsequent pulls.
If you pull too quickly, it may not seal the compound while a too slow pull may over-boil or over-burn the strand if you hold the iron in for more than 2-4 seconds. The person performing the procedure needs to get a feel for how much of the compound has evaporated to know whether or not to speed up the pulls and reduce their number.
5.1 Letting the hair cool down after heat treatment is an important part, as the result is being fixed. Generally, 5 minutes is sufficient.
5.2 f you do not rinse after ironing, you are violating treatment protocol, i.e. you are not calming the PH of the hair. You are also not seeing the final result. By rinsing immediately, you can be sure that the treatment has succeeded.
6.1. Home care should be special after Botox and Keratin treatments in order to prolong the effects of the treatment. It is best to choose a sulphate-free shampoo with a special ph-factor. Also it is necessary to choose a shampoo considering your scalp type, that is, if it is oily, you should choose a sulfate-free shampoo for oily hair.
6.2 Conditioner is a must, preferably if shampoo and conditioner are from the same series as the shampoo, as the assets in a product line enhance their work in a pair or trio (shampoo/conditioner/mask).6.7 Excessive mechanical influences in the form of comb-overs, frequent thermal styling and curling will cause the effect to fade sooner. Going to bed with a wet head is also a bad idea because while your hair is wet, the hydrogen bonds in the hair is more flexible, and while you sleep, the hair is 'living its life', including tangling and damaging.
